Everly Fall 2013 Lookbook

Screen Shot 2013-08-26 at 9.31.22 AMYesterday the beautiful brand, Everly, released their Fall 2013 Lookbook and I died and went to heaven. I really will let the photos speak for themselves because they’re beautiful. The clothing is such perfection. I love that the pieces don’t scream fall because it makes them easy to transition from season to season and that increases the wearibility. (Is that a word? No? Oh well.) I think the bold patterns make an amazing statement and can easily be paired with any neutrals. Plus, the polka dot dress…I need. Definitely go check out their lookbook for even more of these incredible photos.

Get Silky

I’ve literally become OBSESSED with silk cami’s and tank tops. I love the way they feel against your skin and how light and breezy they are (AND ALL OF THE COLORS AND PRINTS!). Perfect for summer! There’s something sexy cute about them because they’re not exactly lingerie, but they’re borderline which makes them a little scandalous to wear. Who doesn’t need a bit of scandal in their boring life? ;) I love the idea of pairing them with some cute shorts like these for a lunch or weekend mall trip. They’re also fabulous under a blazer with some skinnies and nude pumps for a night out. I think for a date, a silk tank would be perfect tucked into a circle skirt with a pair of wedges and a long chain necklace for some sparkle.

Boyfriend Status

A white blazer was on my spring fashion must haves list way back in December. This cotton boyfriend one is the perfect fit and is so comfortable, plus it goes with everything. I decided that for Casual Friday, I’d pair it with a pair of boyfriend jeans for the ultimate in relaxed chic. Here is my last LAST LAST reminder about my Fabulous 100 Giveaway, it ends TONIGHT at 11:59 PST. You need to get the show on the road and enter if you haven’t because it will be someone else winning $100 in Hope‘s cash and beautiful monogram notecards from Harriet Ann Creative, not you.

Blazer: CottonOn (I like this one too!) // Jeans: Lucky // T-Shirt: Ann Taylor Loft // Wedges: Two Lips (so old, but I guess they’re on ebay now haha) // Bag: Longchamp // Necklace: Banana Republic

Still Rock and Roll to Me

Fur vests are huge right now. They’re everywhere on everyone. Thankfully I didn’t have to spend the money to jump on the bandwagon because my mom bought a fur vest a year ago. I’m not big into vests to be honest. There’s a very short amount of time that you could even wear one in Arizona, but there’s something so cute about fur ones. I think they’re trendy and edgy, but still able to be matched with basics without looking too “rock and roll Mick Jagger.” haha. That’s absolutely right up my alley. I went simple with mine pairing it with a plum jeggings, black wedges, and a black long sleeve t-shirt. It was the perfect casual dressy combination for my staff meeting at work . I think this is a great day to night transition outfit. Pair it with nude flats for school or work and then switch out the pink lip for a berry or red and add heels.

Fall Shoe Lusting

I think it’s quite funny that I constantly tell people that I’m not “really a shoe person,” but then I run out of room in my walk in closet for my shoes…or I find multiple pairs of heels in the trunk of my car…The first step is admitting you have a problem and I do. I actually get most excited for shoes in the fall and winter because I think the options are endless. I’ve rounded up my favorite finds for the fall that will most likely/already have made their way into my shoe rack to pair with my scarfs, skinnies, and layers in the coming season. I’ve decided not to include boots because quite frankly, they deserve their own post and it won’t be cool enough to wear them in Arizona until, let’s see, November? haha.  You’ll see a few common trends in the shoes I chose: browns, taupes, nudes, suede, and color blocking. These are staple shoes that might be an investment, but they’re one worth making for seasons to come.

– Jeffrey Campbell Lita Suede Bootie in Taupe Suede: Obsessed with the shape and versatility of this very popular shoe style

– Born Ibis OxfordLoving the blush color to make this menswear inspired shoe more feminine and dressy

– Shoemint Danielle in Red Color BlockOkay, so I was drawn by the name, but I love the fun color blocking & ankle strap

– Hailey Jeans Lace up Wedge Bootie in Taupe: Great all around wedge for everyday casual and dressing up for the office

– Mossimo Vianca Tuxedo Flat in Animal Print: Fell in love with the price and how great these look with skinnies

– Tory Burch Parker Flat: Adorable quilted pattern, great mix of black and brown for every outfit

– Shoemint Molly in Blush: Classic Mary Jane style with a great added detail of ankle buckle strap
