I’m a huge fan of the sixties housewife style. Call me old fashioned, but I like to think of my style as classic with a edge. I paired this fabulous polka dot shirtdress with stud pumps (similar to the beautiful Valentino, but like 5% of the cost and just as fabulous looking!) and my DIY pearl safety pin necklace. I think it’s the perfect mix of girly with the polka dots and pearls and edgy with the studs and safety pins. It’s all about keeping them guessing! Oh my goodness this romper! I saw this in the LOFT window a few weeks ago and have been lusting. Two days ago, we got a LOFT package on our doorstep and my mom had picked it up for me!! Because truly it’s the perfect romper: comfortable, fun, polka dots, and HAS POCKETS! Need I say more? I think it’s a great romper to dress up or down depending upon the accessories. Cardi and sandals for everyday or wedges and a nice bag for going out. Right now, you can get it for 30% off online with the code: LOVELOFT. Literally, it’s dots on dots on dots from head to toe. I decided to mix up textures for my outfit. My top is a polka dotted eyelet white blouse, my pants are a circle printed black crop, paired with my beige dotted loafers with tassels. I think it’s totally acceptable to wear the same style of print in multiple pieces if they’re in varying textures and sizes staying neutral in color. I also got to add some color in my clutch, lips, and nails, so that added some contrast to the look. Once again God blessed me with another windy day, thankfully for the most part my Lana Del Rey inspired crazy teased hair stayed put.
Top: American Eagle (similar & similar) // Pants: Banana Republic (similar) // Loafers: Target (similar in Coral) // Clutch: Target (It’s an ipad case that I found near the greeting cards and stationary section…random, SORRY I DON’T HAVE A LINK!)
