Fancy Pants and I went to the Dbacks game last night and I can only imagine that is just the beginning of a super fun/relaxing weekend before the craziness of my baby brother’s high school graduation this week! For some reason, even though it’s a weekly link up, I always forget to actually queue my Saturday Instagram Recap because of my crazy Friday nights probably. (Just kidding, I watched Scandal in my sweats and ate Sonic take out with Fancy Pants!) What’s in my Bag

I think I first discovered the Youtube beauty community via What’s in my Bag/Purse videos. I could watch those videos for hours on end and it was actually how I fell in love with my LV Speedy. There’s something so fascinating to see what other women keep in their bags because purses can be like a home away from home. You keep the things you use most often and swear by close at hand at all times. At least I do anyway. All of these necessities/totally random array of goodies/germaphobe tendencies are kept in my handy dandy (has anyone ever refferred to a LV as handy dandy? haha) Louis Vuitton Speedy 35 that Fancy Pants graciously gave to me for this past Christmas. It is a perfect size and is such a classic bag that goes with any outfit.

Saturday Instagram Recap

Some weeks just fly by and others drag on like nobody’s business. This week dragged. I’ve been chasing the weekend since Monday practically. I started on the Tone it Up Meal Plan this week and it hasn’t been as difficult as I thought. (More on that in another post!) I’ve already lost 7 lbs which is fabulous because I’ve been eating mostly clean. Also I share in my post this week an adorable surprise package from the lovely Kimberly who blogs on Mornings at Pannikin and has recently launched Harriet Ann Creative which is a custom design company that specializes in stationary and event branding (invitations, thank yous, etc). I’m lucky enough to receive little notes and surprises (caramels, cookies) from Kimmie all the time, so I can attest to how great her work is. Saturday Instagram Recap

Look at that, remember when I said I was partial to the scallop crazy scissors, I forgot that my Saturday Instagram Recap header had scalloped edges. haha. But anyways, this was an exhausting week. My aunt did finally come home from the hospital this week, but with a less than positive diagnosis unfortunately. Through the biopsy, she was found to have Hodgkins Lymphoma which is cancer of lymph tissue found in the lymph nodes. We are staying optimistic that through chemotherapy she will beat this. Please keep her and my family in your prayers. Now that I got that out of the way, as you can see I have quite a few products to review coming up so look out for that! Hi everyone!!! I’m putting this up Saturday afternoon while doing my hair. Better late than never! :) I’ve had a crazy week at work tackling some new projects including our company website. It’s a WordPress based site, so I’ve been able to tweak it with my current knowledge and add so many cool new features from various tutorials. It’s been a large undertaking, but I’m enjoying it. Also, my aunt is currently in the hospital following a heart surgery, so I’ve been back and forth with not much time in my week to spare. I’ve finally found the energy and motivation to blog! I don’t know if I’m alone in this, but when I’m having a rough week even the things I enjoy become overwhelming. New Makeup/Beauty Products – February 2013

I feel like there’s constantly new makeup and beauty products popping up right when my wallet is feeling tight. Each month I try to budget a certain amount of money for situations like these. I’ve purchased quite a few new products this month and I’m quite excited to put them up on the blog in a few weeks to review.  I thought it would be fun to first introduce them to you in this post, so you’ll know what to expect!
