Creamsicle Cute

DSC04730bThe weather is showing no signs of breaking yet, so I feel like I’m running out of options that fit under the umbrella of cute, but cool (as in don’t make me feel like it’s 500 degrees outside!) Fancy Pants and I celebrated our anniversary on Sunday at dinner and the Arizona Science Center. (Nerd alert!) I decided to pair my favorite Lilly skirt with this bright orange creamsicle tshirt. I wanted to add something to make it really pop, so I finally got to wear my Ily Couture fringe necklace!! Currently it’s not shipping until September 2nd, so if you can’t wait, check it out on Benevolent Jewels (and use this code for 20% off your total purchase: MGDCODE20)!!!

Tribal Romper

DSC04114bMy romper addiction grows daily. Truly, if I could wear a romper all day every day, I would. Just ask my mom, it’s that bad. This is the newest one in my collection and I’m obsessed with the fun tribal print. It’s cute, comfortable, and so summer appropriate. It’s also just long enough (a typical issue for rompers) and it has an adorable heart cut out in the back for an extra something. Fancy Pants took these amazing style photos after we got lost for 45 minutes looking for a Chase Bank in downtown San Diego, there’s always a positive to every negative right? I’d also like to share the wonderful fact that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started today and in this post, I’m sharing my purchase from the Early Access: my Rebecca Minkoff 5 Zip Mini Crossbody bag with silver hardwear. I looooove. It’s a perfect size for all of the essentials, a perfect color for year round, and a perfect price right now during the sale!!

Graduation Dresses

I can hear the pomp and circumstance now. You’ve probably already attended a graduation or two or maybe even three. (Lucky you! haha) Shopping for dresses to attend graduations is always a bit of a project because you don’t want to spend a lot and you probably want to find something you’ll wear again sometime this summer. I’ve rounded up a few great and fun options that you’re sure to pull out of your closet again for a BBQ or a date night this season. I think the key is find something you love  or else you won’t wear it again and make sure it will keep you cool and comfortable for the waiting around to take pictures and the mingling at the grad party.

*If the third dress above sells out in your size, which isn’t shocking for popular Hope’s, head over to for even more options DAILY. They have a great selection of unique and gorgeous dresses for every summer occasion. You’re sure to find something you’ll fall in love with, so scoop it up fast!

Lilly in Yellow

DSC03278 oceanYellow is one of those universally “spring” colors and this dress is just so perfect for a warm day. I scooped this Lilly dress up during the sale on Rue La La and I’m in looove. It’s so comfortable and can be dressed down with Jacks or up with wedges/heels. I wore this to my baby brother’s soccer game in the morning and straight to my cousin’s babyshower in the afternoon. I honestly wish I had purchased this dress in every color because it kept me cool and it’s so adorable with the contrasting top color and patterns on the bottom! I can see me wearing this a ton for the next two seasons.

What’s in my Bag

I think I first discovered the Youtube beauty community via What’s in my Bag/Purse videos. I could watch those videos for hours on end and it was actually how I fell in love with my LV Speedy. There’s something so fascinating to see what other women keep in their bags because purses can be like a home away from home. You keep the things you use most often and swear by close at hand at all times. At least I do anyway. All of these necessities/totally random array of goodies/germaphobe tendencies are kept in my handy dandy (has anyone ever refferred to a LV as handy dandy? haha) Louis Vuitton Speedy 35 that Fancy Pants graciously gave to me for this past Christmas. It is a perfect size and is such a classic bag that goes with any outfit.

Printed Scallops

If you saw on my Instagram Recap yesterday, you know I scored at the Lilly Pulitzer sale on Ruelala. These shorts were by far my favorite purchase because of the print and well, the scalloped edges of course. I wore these paired with a green tank top earlier in the day for my baby brother’s soccer game and then later for pictures with my brother going to prom and Fancy Pants’ softball game. I think they’re so perfect for spring time and thankfully they have them in more colors and prints. Also, you’re going to die when you see the sequin flat sandals I wore with this outfit, only $16!!!

I Heart Perfume

Hi everyone! As you can tell, the weather has warmed up and I’m fully embracing that. I’ve been keeping this skirt in my closet since the fall waiting for a warm enough day. This Lilly skirt has the most fun perfume printed pattern and looks so wonderful with this perfect pink crop top from Hope’s. This top was a Valentine’s special for Hope’s and I had to pick it up because of the freaking ADORABLE heart cut out in the back. (Currently sold out, but follow them on twitter/facebook for a possible restock, plus they have other fabulous clothing!!) Both of these are closet favorites and they pair so well with the color blocked sandals and floral bauble necklace. Also, y’all get a special treat with some Cooper action in these pictures. ;)

These gifts are a little pricier probably best suited for your sisters, your best/close friends, aunts, cousins, etc. There’s a nice variety of items to fit different personalities which is great.

Christmas Gifts: For Me

Oh yeah, that sounds really selfish this time of year hahaha. Since it’s absolutely inevitable that December will be filled with gift idea posts for others, I figured I’d start out with what I’m asking for first because quite frankly it’s the easiest. I’m a huge online shopper, so I’ve had this list in progress for months. My mom made me limit myself in the number of monogrammed gifts I could ask for because apparently I go aboard…who would have thought that!?

  • Michael Kors Fulton Harness Boot- Obsessed! These have all of the qualities in riding boot that I’ve been looking for, plus they’re not as expensive as the precious Tory Burch’s. ($295)
  • Sigma Beauty Mrs. Bunny Essential Kit– This has something I’ve put off purchasing because I knew I wanted it for Christmas. I need a set of great brushes desperately especially ones that are already travel friendly! ($120)
  • Medium Monogram Necklace– I’ve been dying for one of these for ages. BaubleBar’s version is reasonably priced and has your choice of metal and chain length! ($105-115)
  • Disney Cinderella Storylook Eyeshadow Palette– This eyeshadow palette is in gorgeous packaging, but the shadows are even prettier. I saw Temptalia’s review and then swatched it in person and fell in love. ($55)
  • Lilly Pulitzer Mini Wristlet Glitter- This is so right up my alley. Glitter and Lilly, what more could you want? This will be perfect for running errands, going to the gym, or wearing on a night out. ($58)
  • Monogrammed Champ Pink Weekend Travel Bag– Marley Lilly’s monogrammed gifts are phenomenal and this is no exception. I need a good weekender for an upcoming trip in January! This one comes in 8 other girls with so many monogramming options!  ($44.99)
  • Jets V-Neck Raglan Tee- It wouldn’t be a Danielle christmas list without some sports team apparel. These t-shirt will be great for layering on Sundays with my Tervis. And of course they have all of the other teams, but why would you choose another? ;) ($36.50)

Now if you’re looking for a gift for me, you have ideas. ;) haha just kidding. Hope y’all have a great Saturday!

Effortless Outfits from Labor Day Week

Four day weeks make me super lazy. I find that getting dressed for work is just a serious struggle because I just cannot get the energy to put cute things together. If I can’t get energy to put cute outfits together, you can pretty much guarantee that I haven’t had any outfit photoshoots. But there is something fun about pulling out my phone and capturing a quick photo of my outfit, so I can recreate it again one day. I have a few of my outfits from last Sunday to this weekend that I took pictures of. I’ll also include where I got items just like in a typical fashion past. You’ll definitely be seeing some of my staple classic jewelry pieces from my post a few days ago here. Mind you, these pictures are from my phone and some are my favorite office door reflection pictures! YAY. :)

Oooh I actually really really liked this way of sharing even the outfits I didn’t get lots of pictures in. It was a lot easier for me to round up 5 or 6 pictures instead of editing and posting 10 of one ensemble. Plus, it’s not easy to get someone to agree to take pictures of me in random places posing. haha. Let me know if you like posts like this.
